I have talked to a ton of coaches and I keep hearing one thing over and over. "We need help with all this technology". I know that I almost gave up learning all the things I had to learn to get online so I want to keep you from feeling the same way.
Technology
seems to be a huge challenge for coaches who are trying to get their businesses
started and to get new clients. Coaches do not know what to do first or how to
go about doing it especially with new technology on the internet. I would like
to clear up as much of this as possible in a series of articles specifically
directed at procedural order and technology assistance.
What to do first
Every coach
I talk to says they need a website and they are ready to go hire a web designer
and spend a great deal of money on a website. I say hold on and consider
starting with a blog but before you do that you need to

A Joint venture happens when one thought leader joins with another thought leader to create a project, program, product, or course that provides great value to the customer because it expertise. I am a coach that teaches other coaches to grown their coaching business and get coaching clients but I am not a technology expert so I am joining with Connie Green to create a technology course for coaches. This is a joint venture because we will combine our knowledge to create a course that combines my knowledge of the coaching business with her knowledge of technology.
How to Choose a Joint Venture Partner
You and your joint venture (JV) partner should have compatible and complimentary areas of expertise to offer both of your target customers. The ideal partner is one who is an expert in an area that you are not very strong in and you should be an expert in an area they are not very strong in. By combining your efforts you will

What the heck is affiliate marketing? This is not a normal or known coaching term but you have probably experienced affiliate marketing when you received a gift or bonus for referring a friend to a business. That is off-line affiliate marketing. I want to talk about online affiliate marketing and how you can use it to add income to your business.
Share Valuable Information
It does not matter what your target niche is because there is always someone who is speaking to the same target coaching niche or one very simular. Often these "competitiors" have great information and products to share. Rather than compete with them why not

OK, so there are many ways to go about doing most anything and I often choose the hardest way but when I chose a mentor I made a great choice. You can struggle when you are doing something new or you can seek help from someone who has been there and done that.
If I told you there was a way to speed up your success,
avoid mistakes, save you time learning things you don’t know, and get support
from someone who has already gone through what you are about to do. Would you
be interested? Yes, I agree that this question should be a no brainer yet most

Picking a domain name is one of the most important
decisions you will make next to picking your niche and the name of your
coaching business. In today’s market you must have an online presence and be
easy to find on the internet. The domain name you choose will have a direct
effect on how high you rank on a search and that will affect the number of
people that find your site.
Think
About Your Target Market
Think about the words a person in your target coaching
niche will use when searching for information and include those keywords in you
domain name. Make a list of all the key words you can think of that a person
would use to search for your target coaching niche then use

Have you
ever seen an authority on a topic rise to the top and wonder how they became
the known authority? Think about what a great deal it is to be the person
people think of as the authority for your niche target market. Can you imagine
how beneficial it would be to be the person people turn to for help and advice
in your target niche?
I don't know about you but, I always envy the person who is the expert and I often
realize that they are talking about things I already know. I think I could be talking about what they are teaching. This article will help you lay out a game

Paint
the picture you want your client to see.
Your customer may be aware that they are in a state of
pain or discomfort with the way things are but they may not know what they want
or be able to see the possibilities of what can be.
Once you have painted a picture of the problem then you
can paint a picture of the possible solutions and your ability to help your
client discover those possibilities and solutions. I like to use Typepad as my blogging platform because it is easy to set up and they host as well so I don't have to go hunting for a place to host my blog.
Tell
your story as it relates to your target coaching niche and share your missteps
and mistakes along the way.
No one likes perfect people or people who pretend to be
flawless. We are all human and less than perfect and we feel more comfortable
with people who are humble enough to share their flaws and corrective measures.
When you share your mistakes then your clients gain the
hope that they can make mistakes and overcome a problem anyway. They are less
likely to feel like you are there to judge them and will know you have walked
the same steps before them.
Be generous with
your knowledge and information.
This is a true situation of plenty because your mind can
continue to generate information and pass along knowledge as long as you remain
passionate about your target coaching niche. Give away reports, book chapters,
teleclasses, and courses.
Your target niche will still want to buy your products
or want to hire you for coaching. Giving away information and knowledge is a
brilliant way to build trust and credibility. Be sure to give away information
that is valuable enough that your niche client is eager to give you

When blogging was new, blogs were used as journals or
personal diaries. Today business blogs are very different and are used to serve
and promote business sales and promotion. Business blogs are used to generate
traffic, attract potential customers, increase expert status, and sell
products.
To be successful in the market today you need to have a
blog. I think it is more important than a website because of the SEO advantages
a blog offers. Please consider starting a blog if you do not have one already. I suggest you use Typepad because it is so inexpensive and easy to use. You can literally have a blog up in an hour or less.
Reaching
your target coaching niche customer through blogging is a process that takes consistency
and time.
This is a long term process and it requires consistent effort
and blog contributions. You must post to your blog on a regular basis and your
blog posts must be consistently high quality.
You must keep your posts relevant and compelling to keep
readers

It is very difficult to attract clients with articles when your articles are not published because they are nothing more than an advertisement. What you do not put in the body of your coaching articles is as important as what you do include. If you put the wrong things in your coaching articles then publishers and distributors will reject them.
Do not make your article a thinly veiled sales pitch.
Article publishers and distributors will reject your article if it is nothing more than a thinly veiled sales letter. Use articles to show off your expertise and knowledge rather than making a sales pitch. People want more of what you have to offer when they see that you have useful and actionable information. Share information that helps your reader and potential coaching client overcome challenges and reach desired goals.
Do not put links in your article body.

Write Articles That Attract Coaching Clients to Your Website or Blog. Articles are a wonderful way to share your expertise and knowledge while inviting potential coaching clients to visit your website or blog. Writing and submitting articles is an essential part of a well rounded coaching business marketing plan.
What should I include in the main part of my article?
Your top goal in the body of your article is to provide readers with information that they are looking for and that they can use to take immediate action. Share your expert knowledge on a subject that is vital to your target-coaching niche. Offer the reader tips that they can utilize immediately. Help the reader recognize common issues or challenges and offer strategies that can help people in your target-coaching niche reach their goals and dreams. No need to freak out over
