Be an observer of your target coaching niche and you will soon find out what their needs and challenges are. By joining groups related to your target coaching niche you will discover their problems and be able to help them discover solutions.

Getting to know your target coaching niche and knowing what their challenges and problems are is what will make you and your coaching attractive to them. This requires some effort and thinking on your part. You will need to do some research to find out where your target coaching niche gathers.

Where do They Gather? The answer to this question will determine where you will find them to communicate with them. Knowing where they gather on the internet could be crucial to your marketing efforts.

What Groups do They Join? Again, the answer to this question will help you figure out where to find them on the internet, which can be key to your success, and it will help you determine the groups that will be good speaking opportunities for you to explore.

These two questions are critical to gathering more information and research about the needs, desires, challenges, and goals of your target coaching niche. You will want to find live and internet based groups that are relevant to your target coaching niche so that you can join those groups and observe what they are talking about.

Become and member and an observer to listen to them and find out what their greatest challenges are and what goals they have.

You want to search out groups and forums that are relevant to and filled with people in your target coaching niche. Once again we will turn to Google. You can search in groups under Google or you can type your niche followed by group or forum and search. You will find several groups to join that way. You do want to join the groups so that you can get into the discussion and see what people are talking about as well as add to the discussions.

Monitoring these groups will help you zero in on the issues that are of the greatest interest to potential clients in your target coaching niche. Pay particular attention to the things that challenge people in your target coaching niche especially the topic that come up repeatedly. There will almost always be three topics that people bring up time and time again.

You next job is to discover all you can about possible solutions to these problems. Making note of the problems and possible solutions then developing common issues that could have common solution is a good way to begin creating systems and programs to help people in your target coaching niche.

Often I have coaches come to me when their coaching business has stopped growing or they want to reach a goal and they have not been able to get past some road blocks.

Most people are surprised when I begin to ask question about how they could be limiting their own success. Most of the time when we feel limited we look to outside factors such as other people, the economy, competition and an array of other things.

Seldom do we look at how we could be causing our own limitations without recognizing it. The fact is that we cannot control most outside factors but we can control our perception and our response.

You can also control what you are thinking once you are aware of your thought. You can focus your thinking on what you desire to happen and the steps you will take to create the outcome you desire.

Fear of success

I know you are probably thinking “who would have fear of success”. Well, if you are not having the success you desire in your internet business then you could be having fear of success.

Fear of success is actually the feeling that you are not deserving of success. Usually fear of success is rooted in a false belief that we acquired in our early years and our family or close friends. These beliefs can come to us overtly or subtly.

Some of us had people telling us we were no good or that we would never make anything of ourselves. Others got the idea that other people always did better than we did. I had the idea that I would never be able to achieve as much as my brilliant father had. What a lie that turned out to be.

Almost everyone has these types of limiting beliefs and most people never recognize it. It really does not matter where the belief originated but it is important to take the time to contemplate what limiting belief you may have.

The point is that we have to recognize these limitations before we can change them. So give some thought to the false beliefs that could be holding you back from achieving success greater than you have ever dreamed of.

The next step is to refocus your thinking on what you want and the steps you will take to make it happen. I suggest you visualize already achieving the outcome you desire and feeling what it will feel like when you have reach that goal. Allow yourself to feel every feeling you will feel once you have achieved the goal and focus on those positive feelings.

Make it a daily practice to project yourself into that place of success and feel those feelings of satisfaction. By actually placing yourself in that place in your mind you are training you subconscious mind to take you there.

The way to get top Google ranking and beat your competition is through good keyword research. You will rise above the competition and get more qualified clients when you take the time to do your keyword research and utilize it.

Keyword research is one of the most important aspects of internet marketing yet it is often overlooked by many people. Many people know what the term keyword means but they do not do the detailed research necessary to find the best keywords and often they do not know how to use the results most effectively.

Keyword Search Tools

There are many keyword search tools available to help you with this task. When you put your keyword into a keyword research tool, you can quickly learn how many users are conducting searches for that keyword term or phrase and other important statistical data. Each keyword research tool provides different keyword data possibilities in addition to how many people are searching for that term. Many of the search tools will also suggest other possible keywords and phrases that you would not have otherwise thought of.

There are several keyword research tools available some are free and some charge a fee. Google keyword tool, Wordtracker, and Overture Keyword Selector are a few suggested tools. Each tool provides slightly different information and features so check each one out and use the one that works best for you.

Narrow the Field and Make Your Choices

Now that you have a large keyword list it is time to narrow the field and find the keywords that will be most effective for your site. To begin the process of analysis I suggest that you create a spreadsheet to evaluate the search volume, conversion rate, and competition for each keyword term. All of these figures will be provided by the keyword tools mentioned earlier.

Begin by going through the long list of keywords and highlight the words that most closely describe your site, services, and products. These will be some of the terms you will want to hang onto. Get rid of the words that do not fit your site or that you do not have content that is relevant to the keyword term.

Be sure you are using both broad and narrow keyword terms that are relevant to your site. For example if you are a coach that helps women in transition from divorce then you may want to use the term “relationship coach” but you will also want to use a more specific term like “women’s relationship coach” or “divorce coach for women”.

The closer the relevance of your specific keywords to the actual content on your site the more Google will like it and they will see the relevance resulting in a lower advertising rate. Google wants search terms to be as relevant as possible to the actual content on the site. The more relevant the sites content the less Google charges advertisers. Conversely the less relevant the content the more Google charges advertisers. So it actually pays you to do a good job of matching your keywords to the content on your website.

Narrow you list of keywords down to about 10 to 15 keywords that best fit your site content and have adequate search volume. Check these keywords against those you find in the source content of you strongest competitors and make sure you have higher ranking keywords whenever possible.

By doing your keyword research and being diligent in utilizing the results, you will rank far higher than your competitors with the search engines and your site will be found by more potential coaching clients.

Choosing the right target coaching niche is essential to the success of your coaching business. Experience in a particular field alone is not enough of a reason to choose that area as a target coaching niche.

The biggest problem coaches have when they are starting out is deciding on and defining a target coaching niche. I had the same trouble because I thought if I narrowed my niche to a specific target then I would be eliminating too many people and it would be more difficult to get coaching clients.

The exact opposite is true and it makes sense when you think about it. How can you relate to any group of people for any purpose if you do not define who you are trying to reach? You can’t and it is that simple. Just like you can’t make everyone happy, you can’t be the right coach for all niches so you must become the best coach for one niche.

There are the criteria we need to judge a possible niche against to determine which niche is the best fit for us as a coach and to eliminate niches that we may be passionate about but have little or no chance of supporting a coaching business.

It may seem obvious that you should have a high interest level in the target coaching niche you choose but many coaches choose a niche based on their experience alone. Many of us have spent years in a particular field, have a great degree of experience and competence in that area but we have lost our passion and interest in the field. Yes choose that niche because it is what we know and because of the level and length of experience we are extremely competent.

This level of interest will most likely not be sufficient to sustain you through the development of an entrepreneurial endeavor. Make no mistake; starting your own business of any type requires a lot of hard work and immense dedication so you better be passionate about it.

Choose a target coaching niche that is so interesting to you that you would consider working in that area even if you did not make any money. Of course you want to make money so you can continue to help others with your coaching but the point remains you must be dedicated and committed to your goals.

Experience in a particular niche can be valuable but experience alone is not enought to justify choosing a particular target coaching niche. Make sure that you choose a coaching niche that excites you and is one that you are passionate about because a high level of commitment is essential to achieving the level of success you desirein your coaching business.

Coaching products allow coaches to reach many more people than is possible coaching one on one. However, to get people to purchase and consume those products we must become master motivators. The word motivate is critical to writing good sales letters so it is essential that we understands what motivates people.

Most people are more motivated to avoid pain than they are to seek pleasure. However, studies also show that people are more willing to spend large sums of money to reach a goal. That is why people will spend tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars on education.

The point is that both types of emotions, positive and negative, play a huge part in our motivations to take action so we must think about how to use those emotions the goal is to cause action. Let us take a look at the some of the positive emotions as described by Napoleon Hill the author of “Think and Grow Rick”.

Love

We all have the desire to be loved. When you motivate with love then you have hit the tap root of human nature. Look at all the things we do to ensure that others love us. We buy billions of dollars worth of perfume and cosmetics to be attractive to love. We give to others because we love them or we desire that they love us. We make huge sacrifices for others that we love. Love is probably the single most powerful motivator of human kind next to fear.

All of this means that people are motivated by the desire to have the love of others and to express our love for others. Touch on these desires and get straight to the heart of the matter.

Show people how they can love or be loved by using coaching to reach their goals. Remember when we do something to increase our self-esteem we are also loving ourselves and there is no greater boost to self esteem that reach a goal.

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm can sell all by itself. We have all gotten wrapped up in the pitch of an enthusiastic person. Enthusiasm is contagious and is a strong motivator. I know you have been swept up in the enthusiasm of another person and based on their enthusiasm you have taken on and accomplished a task or goal that you may not have achieved without that motivation of enthusiasm from the other person.

People are most authentic and enthusiastic about their passions so make sure that you are coaching in a niche that you are passionate about. Your enthusiasm will be contagious and will attract clients with little effort on your part.

When you know that you can serve your target coaching niche and help them to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals and you can communicate that certainty and enthusiasm then you will see clients flocking to your coaching business.

Loving people, helping them love themselves, and passion for your coaching niche are an unstoppable attraction force. If you can communicate those emotions in your sales copy then you will have a powerful tool for getting new coaching clients.

Products do not have to be tangible or digital they can be events such as a workshop or a seminar. When you give a workshop you are able to communicate your message one to many. If the workshop is live you are able to make some one on one personal contact with potential clients. The more people that hear your message the more you will have interested in all the product you offer.

Workshops and seminars are a great way to reach many people at once with your message and at the end of each workshop you can offer several products for participants who want more.

Workshops and Seminars

There is no better way to become recognized as an expert in your target coaching niche than to do workshops and seminars. In school we were taught that the person speaking in the front was the expert and most adults assume this of anyone who speaks on most any subject. That expert at the front of the room can be you if you take the initiative to speak for different groups within your own city.

Simply find groups that are related to your target coaching niche and ask them if you could speak at one of their meetings. Most groups who have guest speakers are hungry for fresh speakers.
Imagine being the person in charge of scheduling speakers on a regular basis. You will find that groups are more than happy to have you come speak to them or conduct a workshop.

You can also put on your own seminars with others who market to your target coaching niche. For example, if you are a relationship coach you could talk about improving communication and you could invite a massage therapist to talk about how to reconnect through couples massage, you could invite an expert in conflict resolution or an attorney that deals in negotiation.

The point is get yourself in front of people that are interested in your niche and what you have to offer. Be sure you give them valuable and actionable information that will leave them wanting more. Most importantly make sure you have a method for collecting contact information so that you can continue to stay in contact with these potential clients.

You can do these speaking engagements for free at first and then begin to charge for them. Either way they will help you sell other products and coaching.

The best part about doing workshops and seminars is the ability to get your information and message to so many more people that would ever be possible through one on one coaching alone.

You would not walk up to someone at a party and say “hi, my name is blank and I would like to show you my new product” so don’t do that when you are working in social media. Act like you would if you were talking to people at a party.

Introduce yourself then find out about the other person and what you can do for them. Find out who they are and what they are interested in. When you approach someone at a party you begin by talking about what they are doing in their lives and you are looking for things or interests you may have in common. The same is true with social media.

Endless promotional Messages

Social media marketing is not all about you! Sending out endless messages promoting a product, event or service is no different than spam. It’s not the same as having a campaign – everyone is in business and needs to make money. There has to be a balance between sharing information and informing people of the services you offer.

Never join a group and start

Begin Working on Your Internet Business by Starting a Blog

Blogs are a great way to share valuable information with your potential coaching clients and give them an opportunity to see how you can help them.

Blogs are superior to websites because you can update them with new information frequently drawing the search engines to the blog and improving search page rank.

It is essential that you get you information out to the public so that potential coaching clients can see that you have some solutions that will meet their needs.

A blog is a central point of contact for your potential coaching clients. This is the place they can go to gather information and to communicate with you. You can promote and give access to your coaching and products on your blog. Essentially your blog will become the hub of your business wheel that will soon have many spokes providing multiple sources of income to your coaching business.

I suggest Typepad for a blogging platform because it is inexpensive and easy to use. The blog you are reading right now is Typepad.
