Most coaches spend time getting a fancy logo designed, designing a website, getting business cards printed and writing brochures thinking all these things are necessary before they begin to market their business. Not true!</p>
<p>The best step you can take at any point in your coaching career to get new coaching clients quickly is to begin conducting workshops. I suggest that you begin by conducting live workshops in your local market. Later you can modify these workshops to become online workshop or online courses. You can even begin conducting your own events by adding other compatible experts to your team and conducting two or three day workshops.</p>

<p>It is difficult to see a client or anyone else in pain and not want to find an immediate solution but as coaches we must resist that desire. Our goal is to help clients find their own solution and learn the process of problem solving along the way.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t coach your client to find a solution.</p>
<p>Coaches want to help people and because we want that we tend to coach people toward a solution right off the bat. Doing this is not the best way to help your client and it usually will not result in you getting a new coaching client. When you coach toward a solution right away several undesirable things can happen. You may coach them to a solution that does not suit them because you have not spent time finding out what their true needs are. So they choose not to coach with you because your solution does not work for them. You could coach them to the perfect solution and their problem is solved so they don&#8217;t feel they need to continue coaching with you. They don&#8217;t see enough value from the time they spent with you because you have not made them hungry enough for help.</p>

<p>In a conversation with one of my coach clients I realized that all the internet marketing skills and offline marketing skills in the world will not get coaching clients unless you know how to have a conversation with people and build their interest in coaching with you. Are your using all the opportunities you have to promote your coaching business and to entice potential coaching clients to work with you?</p>
<p>Are you in front of your customer?<br />
Signing up coaching clients requires that you have the opportunity to have a conversation with them. Your marketing efforts should lead potential coaching clients to call you or set a date and time on an automated calendar to have an introductory coaching session. Are you directing your marketing to a tightly honed target coaching niche?<br />
It is imperative that you narrow your target coaching niche so that they can quickly see that they want what you are offering. If your niche is too broad then your message cannot be specific enough to motivate them to take an action. The action you want the potential customer to take is to set an appointment for an introductory coaching session. <p>We can do anything we want to with our coaching businesses. There are no limits other than those we place upon ourselves. The problem is that we often place those limits on ourselves and do not even know we are doing it.</p>
<p>I want to help you remove those limits and to begin a practice of visualizing yourself already having achieved your goals. When you can not only visualize but actually place yourself in an emotional state of having achieved your goals they are certain to happen.</p>
<p>Limiting thoughts and beliefs</p>
<p>Most of the time it is us limiting ourselves rather than some outside force causing our limitations. We don&#8217;t set our goals high enough. We don&#8217;t think big enough. We can&#8217;t get that far out of what we have known or experienced up to this point in our lives.</p>
<p>Try to set some goals without allowing your limiting thoughts and beliefs to enter into the process. Set your goals way higher than you are comfortable with. Allow yourself to imagine achieving beyond your wildest dreams.</p>
<p>Write down a verbal picture of what that would look like for you. What would happen, how would it happen, where would it be, how would it affect your close family and friends? How would that make you feel?</p>
<p>Play with this in your mind and allow yourself to enter into the process as if it were really happening. Feel the feelings that this amount of success brings you. Describe what those feelings are. Do you feel joy, excitement, anxiety? What emotions are you imagining and feeling as you make this a reality in your mind?</p>
<p>New Beliefs<br />
Now that you have a picture of what you would like and you have even imagined some of the emotions that could be involved, I want you to take time everyday to put yourself in this place to imagine achieving your goals and the feelings you will have when you do so.<br />
Pick a time each day to focus on exactly how you want your future to be and place your mind and heart in that future. We create what we think about so focus on what you want to create and make it real.</p>
<p>The more you can see yourself in the place of having achieved your goals the more likely they are to become your reality. Certainly, you have noticed that what you picture in your mind is often what happens good or bad. The unfortunate thing is we tend to focus on what we don&#8217;t want to happen and because we are so focused on it that is exactly what does happen.</p>
<p>I would like to see you reverse that process and have you focus in great detail on what you want to happen along with exactly what that will look like and feel like when it does happen. Then you are focused on what will become your reality.</p>

<p>What is your irresistable offer to your potential coaching clients? When you make your offer to clients it should be filled with value to the client. If you offer coaching then offer coaching and a teleclass. If you can write an ebook then offer an ebook and a teleclass. If you can offer a teleclass offer a teleclass, ebook and learning guide. Always offer as much as you can possibly give and always give great value to your clients.</p>
<p>There are two key elements to getting coaching clients on the Internet. They are traffic&#8221; how many people find and view your site and &#8220;conversion&#8221; how many people actually purchase your service or product. The key to conversion is your sales letter so I would like to show step by step how to write an effective sales letter that will convert lookers into buyers.</p>
<p>Write Your Offer</p>
<p>By doing you research you know what your client wants and if you can write an offer that gives them exactly what they want then you will have an offer that is irresistible.</p>
<p>You offer has to have undeniable value and provide the client with the solutions they want. Don&#8217;t just give a solution give a fantastic value packed solution. Add value to you offer by giving everything you can give. If you can write an eBook then offer an eBook and a workbook. Record an eBook and you have an audio or a video. When you combine an audio, video, workbook and eBook you have a system and a system has far more value than a simple eBook or report.</p>
<p>Add bonuses to add value to your offer. You can offer your own content as bonuses or you can purchase PLR products to add to the value of your offer. People have even been known to purchase a product for the bonus rather than the actual offer. Make sure your bonuses are things that will add value to your offer.</p>
<p>Your offer must include four elements including what they get, price justification, risk reversal and bonuses. The first thing to consider is what they will get in other words what format will deliver the most perceived value to your clients. Will you deliver your products in the form of a report, workbook, eBook, audio, CD, video, DVD, or some combination of all of the above items?</p>
<p>Your offer should justify why the client should pay the price you are asking. Make sure that you include a guarantee or some other form of risk reversal. Bonuses and plenty of them are a sure fire way to let your customer know how much you value their business.</p>

<p>You must be consistent in marketing your coaching business. That means you must do at least three things to market your coaching business every day. You will not have as much success if you market for a while then stop. People need to hear your message several times before any comprehension takes place then they need to hear it several more times before they will be motivated to take action.</p>
<p>There are many things you can do to market your coaching business and most of them will not take a big chuck of time out of your day. Make sure that you reserve some time each day to market your coaching business. Set the time aside just like any other important appointment. Here are a few ideas to get you started.</p>
<p><strong>Teach Someone Else&#8217;s Program or Teach About a Product</strong>- Teach the basics of a program that you recommend to your list or teach people how to use a specific tool that could help them. I teach people how to work on Typepad because I know they will need a blog to have a successful coaching business.</p>
<p><strong>Share a secret or some insider information</strong>- Everyone love to get information that is clandestine. You can share some information that is not commonly know by people outside the area of your expertise or you can share a secret tactic or trick that you have discovered to be helpful.</p>
<p><strong>Create a Facebook Event</strong>- You can turn a normal FREE teleclass into a Facebook event and invite all of your Facebook friends even those that are not on your regular list. Just create an event in the Events section of Facebook and schedule a FREE teleclass. Invite all of your Facebook friends and ask them to register (opt-in) for the FREE class. Each time you do this you will pick up new people on your list.</p>
<p><strong>Video Marketing</strong>- Most of us were raised on television so we are a very visual society. Use this to your advantage by creating short two to three minute videos explaining what you have to offer. You can put these videos on your site, blog, sales pages, and You Tube to tell people how they will benefit from what you have to offer.</p>
<p>Make time each day to market your coaching business and you will see an increase in the number of clients on your list and on your coaching schedule.</p>

<p>Blogging- You blog is your home base on the internet it is where people go to read your content and to find out what you have to offer. Be sure to email the people on your list from time to time and give them a link to one of your posts. People appreciate you letting them know about information that can help them or is important to them.</p>

If you get a phone call about how great your product or service is then ask to use those words as a testimonial. Let your customers sell new customers for you.</p>

<p>Marketing consistently is the key to growing a successful coaching business. That statement has two distinctions that deserve reviewing. One is that you must actively market your business in order to cause business growth. You have to be aware of all the  things you do and can do to let people know about what you have to offer and how they can benefit from your offer.</p>
<p>Secondly, you must be consistent in your marketing. That means you must do at least three things to market your coaching business every day. <p>Send out a newsletter- When your newsletter is filled with content that your target niche is interested in they will be eager to get your newsletter. I include an article in all of my newsletters so that readers will get some interesting information that can help them. I also include links to any teleclasses or products I have to offer. You can answer questions from your readers and serve them with your newsletter. I also include special offers and special pricing to clients who receive my newsletter. All of these things make you newsletter attractive to your readers and potential clients.</p>
<p>Teleseminars- Teleseminars are a wonderful way for clients to get to know you and your personality in a way they cannot with the written word. Our personalities come through and the communication is more intimate when we are speaking and hearing another person&#8217;s voice.  Teleseminars are easy to conduct and they are very inexpensive to create because there are many free conference call services available. Recording your teleseminars is the first step in creating products or terrific giveaway items. Offer a free teleseminar once a week so your clients will be able to know where to find you each week and they can get to know you over time.</p>
<p>Accept Interviews- You will be surprised that once your name gets out there, how many interview offers you will get. People on the internet are always looking for the new fresh personality to interview so you may get requests very quickly. Accept all requests because you never know where your next client will come from and all publicity is good. Soon you will be doing lots of interview where you can promote your coaching or products and there will soon be a &#8220;buzz&#8221; about you in the market.</p>
<p>These are three easy steps you can take right now to increase the number of clients coming to your coaching business. Remember that consistency is key and give the process some time to work. Be patient and you will soon see dramatic results from your marketing efforts.</p>
