Get Coaching Clients with Interesting Emails that Get Opened
December 12, 2009
If you want to have a successful email marketing strategy then you simply have to get people to open your emails. We all work very hard to build a large list of subscribers so we can email them and often we don’t think about how many of our subscriber actually open and read our emails.
What Gets Your Emails Opened?
Email marketing, the gurus say that it is your subject line that gets your emails opened. I agree that the subject line is important but I believe that it is the from name that gets your emails opened. I believe that it is important to build a relationship full of personality with your contact list. You will need a shopping cart system to manage your email marketing.
I open the emails from people I like and I like the people that I feel I know and have a relationship with. I like people that give me good information and keep me interested in what is going on with them and their business.
Relationship Gets Your Emails Opened
I believe that having a relationship with your list is important. I want them to open my emails to see what trouble I have gotten into lately, what crazy ideas I have had, what new thing I have discovered and want to share, or what I may be struggling with and working to overcome.
I want to be a human not just an email person.
There is a balance between when sharing on a more personal level and being a professional. Everything you do should somehow relate to helping your list get more of what they want and less of what they don’t want. You want to make sure that you stay focused on what brought them to your list in the first place. I have seen marketers who took the personal thing and turned it into an all about them thing so be careful not to be too self focused or too self serving. Remember it is all about how you can serve your clients.
