Coaching Revenue through Affiliate Marketing
April 7, 2009
What the heck is affiliate marketing? This is not a normal or known coaching term but you have probably experienced affiliate marketing when you received a gift or bonus for referring a friend to a business. That is off-line affiliate marketing. I want to talk about online affiliate marketing and how you can use it to add income to your business.
Share Valuable Information
It does not matter what your target niche is because there is always someone who is speaking to the same target coaching niche or one very simular. Often these "competitiors" have great information and products to share. Rather than compete with them why not
join with them to provide as much help, learning and information to your target niche as possible? For example, I teach coaches how to market their coaching business and I suggest that they use online marketing to do that. I do teach about online marketing but Connie Green has already developed a technology class that is very good so I often suggest it to my clients.
Connie has an affiliate program that I have signed up for so everytime someone clicks my link it takes them to her sales page through my affiliate link and I get credit for the sale then Connie pays me a commission. The normal commission for information products is 50-40%.
These commissions can add up over time and contribute a great deal of revenue to your coaching business while helping your clients at the same time.
Share Valuable Resources
You can also share resources that you know your target coaching niche is looking for. I know that my clients will want to attract clients through teleseminars at some point so I provide them with a link to a quality teleseminar service Instant Teleseminars.
By providing that link and resource information I am helping my client beccause I am referring them to a quality provider of a resource they need. I am also going to earn a commission from that provider through my affiliate link. This is a win win win for me the client and the provider.
Start making a list of competitors, service providers, and product providers that you can affiliate with to create new streams of revenue for your coachng business.
