Coaching Business: Action Required

Why do coaches think that the desire to have a thriving coaching business is enough to make it happen? Sure I agree with the law of attraction and I believe that positive mind set and thoughts are integral parts of achievement but many coaches are missing the most important element to successfully achieving their own goals!

Action is Everything!

Absolutely nothing happens in business until someone takes action. All action begins with thought but the thought is only a thought until you do something. If you sense some frustration in my attitude here you are correct. See, want so much for each coach to succeed and to carry the benefits of coaching to the world but I get frustrated when I can't

get coaches to do more than learn how to do it. Again, I'm all for learning but take what you learn and apply it with action.

How it has worked for me

I had a successful coaching business going one month after graduating from coaching school and several of my friends and coaching associates began to ask me about my rapid success. That is when I realized that my background and experience in marketing and sales was uncommon among coaches. I began sharing my knowledge with other coaches in a very simple step by step manner and the coaches that applied my concepts began to have success in their coaching businesses. That was when I realized that there was a market for my ideas about marketing and sales as applied to a coaching business.

I took action

I wanted to share my information with coaches across the world so I began to learn about Internet marketing in a huge way. I hired a mentor, took classes from experts, invested in technology, and went way outside my comfort zone. I made plenty of mistakes and experienced tons of frustration with the difficulty involved in the technical aspects but I kept going despite all of that.

Headed toward accomplishing first goals

I have created a website, several blogs, teleclasses, eBooks, eWorkbooks, written articles, learned social networking, shopping carts, and helped many coaches through my work. My main goal is to help coaches grow their coaching businesses and coach more people. To be able to achieve my goal I need to earn a living and I do, but I also give away an enormous amount of information and services. Most of all, I lead by example and by practicing what I teach. I have set very large goals for this year and I am starting to work on them today. Because I know that to get on the path of success, I have to take action.
